Laura Welch, Special Services Director of Lennox was chosen by SDCASE to receive the Outstanding Special Education Administrator SASD/SDCASE award for 2024. Laura brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the field. Having served the past two years as the President of SDCASE, Laura has grown the SDCASE organization and provided many opportunities for the members of the organization. She also currently serves as President of the SASD Executive Board.
A highlight from her nomination stated that “Mrs. Welch has consistently demonstrated an extraordinary passion for advocating on behalf of students with special needs, ensuring that they receive the support and resources necessary for their academic and personal growth.”
Laura continues to shine among her peers both in the state and nationally by being highly involved and dedicated to this profession. Congratulations, Laura!
