This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Emma Benz, our High School Spanish teacher! This is Emma’s first year in education, and she loves seeing students get excited about learning Spanish and discovering they can communicate in another language.
With both of her parents from Lennox, Emma spent lots of time around town growing up! She especially appreciates the supportive school community and the people and students she gets to work with each day.
Outside of school, Emma enjoys visiting coffee shops, spending time at the lake, quilting, watching Michigan football, and hanging out with family and friends. A fun fact about Emma? She’s been to the North Pole! ❄️ Her bucket-list dream is to live in New York City for an entire summer, and her favorite treat is a warm chocolate chip cookie. 🍪
Emma’s advice to students is to step outside your comfort zone every once in a while—that’s where you’ll learn and grow the most!
We’re so happy to have Emma as part of the Lennox Oriole family! Help us welcome her to this week’s spotlight! 🧡🖤
