1/14/22 – WEEKLY UPDATE from the JH-HS

 Good afternoon, Lennox JH-HS Students, Parents and Guardians:

 Upcoming Early Dismissal: January 26 – 12:30 dismissal

 Saturday School

January 29 from 9-11am.   For students with missing work.  Staff will be present to assist students.  All remaining missing work after February 4 will not be accepted and turn into Zeroes.  This applies to all work due between January 4 to February 4.

 NAEP Testing in 8th grade

Randomly selected 8th grade students will be participating in the NAEP (National Assessment of Educational Progress) Test on January 27.  Parents and Students will be notified of their selection next week.  Letters were sent home on Monday with selected 8th grade students along with their 2nd quarter report cards.

 Technology Reminder

Do not leave your laptops in your vehicles over-night.  Exposure to extreme cold for that length of time may damage the laptop’s performance.

 After School study Sessions

After school study sessions are on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:30 to 4:30 each week. Students with missing work, failing grades, tutoring needs or just a quiet space to work are invited to attend.

 Parent Teacher Conferences

February 17 from 1-9pm.  Registration Information Meetings for Parents of students in grades 8-11 will also take place at 6, 7 and 8pm.  If you would like more information about registering for HS classes next year, please plan to attend one of these 30-minute sessions.

 FCCLA News

The FCCLA will be putting on fundraiser for a local person fighting breast cancer. This will take place at the annual Tea vs. Lennox Pink Out on February 11th. The Lennox pink out game will be held in Tea February 11th. T-shirt order forms are in the office. The cost per shirt will be $15 and order forms are due by Wednesday January 19th and will be available for pickup on February 8th.

 Daily Attendance

Please be sure to call the JH-HS office if your student will be late, needs to leave early or will be gone for the entire day due to illness, appointments, etc. Darci Granum – Attendance Secretary – 647-2203 (ext. 5001)
