The 8th grade girls will be attending Women in Science on March 7 in Sioux Falls. The goal of Women in Science is to create interest in STEM careers by connecting the girls with local women already working in these professions. By providing contacts with potential mentors, we encourage young women to explore the possibilities available to them and to continue taking the math and science classes necessary to prepare them for careers in STEM fields.
