10-13-23 - Weekly Update for Lennox JH and HS

 

Good afternoon Lennox JH-HS Students, Parents and Guardians:

 

Saturday School – We will have Saturday School on October 14.  Students should have received notification if they have 5 or more missing assignments.  Students with 5 or more missing assignments are expected to attend on Saturday from 9-11am unless they have completed their missing work over the week.

 

First Quarter and Mid-term Grades - The end of 1st quarter and mid-term are quickly approaching (Oct. 20). Students and Parents should pay attention to missing work as those will turn to a Zero at midterm/quarter.

John Thune and Dusty Johnson Visit LHS! Senator Thune visited Lennox High School on Thursday, October 12th and Representative Johnson will be visiting Lennox High School on Monday, October 16th.  They are scheduled to meet with Lennox High School Government and Civics students.  During their visit, each will deliver an address, answer student questions about their roles in Congress and take a school tour.   

 

Dress Code - Students must come to school dressed in clean, neat, and appropriate clothing to conform to educational standards. Below are few specific areas addressed by our Student handbook that need attention:

1. Clothing displaying indecent, suggestive or profane writing, pictures or slogans

2. Clothing that advertises or displays alcohol, tobacco or any illegal substance

3. Revealing clothing such as short-shorts, biker shorts, or cutoffs, unbuttoned or

unzipped items, excessively torn or ripped clothing, bare midriff styles, low cut blouses

clothing that reveals undergarments

 

After School Study Sessions – Our after-school study sessions have begun.  They are from 3:30-4:30 pm on most Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday of each week.

 

Junior Parents:  Mrs. Thill is looking for a few parent volunteers to help with PROM fundraising.  If you are interested, please email tresa.thill@k12.sd.us.

Daily Attendance
