Good afternoon Lennox JH-HS Students, Parents and Guardians:

 

Early Dismissal – Wednesday, November 1, for Teacher Common Planning Day. 12:30 dismissal

 

Halloween – Students are permitted to wear school appropriate costumes to school for Halloween on Tuesday.  In general, masks or excessive props should not be a part of the costume.  Contact Mr. Allison if you have a specific question.  Happy Halloween!

 

ACT Prep update – due to HS football playoffs, the October 26th session of ACT Prep will move to November 21.  We will still have ACT practice test on the afternoon of Nov. 1. See page 3 for complete schedule.

 

Veterans Day – Lennox JH and HS will have a Veterans Day program on Friday, November 10, at 2:30pm in the Gym.  The public is welcome to attend.  Doors will open at 2pm.

 

Seniors will be taking the NCRC exam on Wednesday November 1, from 8:15-Noon.

 

After School Study Sessions – Our after-school study sessions have begun.  They are from 3:30-4:30 pm on most Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday of each week.

 

Junior Parents:  Mrs. Thill is looking for a few parent volunteers to help with PROM fundraising.  If you are interested, please email tresa.thill@k12.sd.us.

HS Counselor Updates:

ASVAB October 27th @ 8:30 AM - The ASVAB is a test that helps determine career and academic strengths that can be applied directly to what type of job you could get when joining any military branch. Junior and Senior students interested in the military should sign up with Mr. Breske by Wednesday, October  25th. 

 

December 9th ACT registration open

Students must register before the November 3rd deadline to avoid late fees. Sign up for the ACT test without writing. Register at https://www.act.org/

 

Spring Dual Credit Enrollment begins November 1st - If you are a Junior or Senior student interested in taking dual credit courses in the Spring, contact Mr. Breske for information and details on how to sign up. Students should be prepared to register on November 1st to ensure a spot in the course they wish. 

 

Dual Credit Drop deadline is November 3rd

November 3rd is the final day for dual credit students to withdraw from a course and receive a W and not effect their GPA. If a student is worried about not passing a course, they should visit with Mr. Breske ASAP.

 

CNA Classes will be offered again this spring semester for Juniors and Seniors planning to enter the Health Care field.  See Mr. Breske for more information.  Class size is limited to 8.  There are several prerequisites that need to be completed prior to classes starting so act early if you are interested.
