No School October 10 and 13
Parents: Students are not allowed to leave for lunch and the office does not accept food deliveries. Please do not call students out for lunch or send deliveries.

Voice of Democracy: The Voice of Democracy is a scholarship opportunity for students in grades 9-12. Students would write and then record a 3-5 minute essay. This sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Students can gain more information from Mr. Larson in the library. Entries need to be submitted online by October 30, 2025

Junior High – Students may not use cell phones during the school day. Phones must be
kept in lockers throughout the day. They may not be used at lunches or during study
halls.
High School – Students must place cell phones in the storage compartment in each
classroom during class-time. Students may not have cell phones in restrooms or locker
rooms. High School students may use phones at lunch and during passing periods, but
not during study halls, SRB, etc.
ACT Testing Dates
There are two remaining ACT tests this semester: October 18 (Early registration has
passed, late registration open until 9/30) December 13 (Early registration deadline is
11/7, Late deadline is 11/24). If you/your student need assistance with the testing fee,
please see Mr. Breske for more information.
ASVAB Test October 17th @ 8:30
The ASVAB will be offered soon at our school for grades 10-12. This free test is not only great practice for standardized testing but also helps you explore your strengths and career options—whether in college, technical training, the workforce, or the military. Don’t miss this opportunity! Sign up with Mr. Breske by October 10th .

Mr. Breske has a scholarship spreadsheet that keeps track of scholarships, deadlines and other things here:
Students should check the document at least a couple times a month to take advantage of opportunities available. It is also recommended you check with your personal bank/other companies you conduct business with to see if they have scholarships available
Missing or Late Work:
High School - Zero Missing Work - report pulled on Wednesday mornings - No SRB for HS on Thursdays if no missing work – beginning second week of school (August 28). Junior High – Zero Missing work- incentive days for no missing work.
Late work or missing assignments beyond 5 school days will count for no more than 60%.
Assessments will not be docked, however, teachers will enforce strict completion dates –
Teachers may use Admin for ISS or detention for completion if this is delayed.
Late work beyond a report card (1st qtr, 2nd qtr, 3rd qtr, 4th qtr for JH) or (1st semester,
2nd semester for HS) will not be accepted.
