2/4/22 – WEEKLY UPDATE from the JH-HS
Good afternoon, Lennox JH-HS Students, Parents and Guardians:
Saturday School
January 29 from 9-11am. For students with missing work. Staff will be present to assist students. All remaining missing work after February 4 will not be accepted and turn into Zeroes. This applies to all work due between January 4 to February 4.
After School study Sessions
After school study sessions are on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:30 to 4:30 each week. Students with missing work, failing grades, tutoring needs or just a quiet space to work are invited to attend.
Summer Legion Baseball Sign-up
Sign up sheets for Summer Legion, Jr Legion, and 14U baseball are in the HS Office.
FFA Pancake Feed
The FFA Pancake Feed will be on February 19th from 7:00 to 11:00AM. We will be located at the Intermediate School this year. The money raised will go to support the Abbas and Stein families.
Boys State – Understand the system of government, appreciate the responsibilities of citizenship and learn fundamental principles of leadership. Open to Juniors and Seniors. Boys State – South Dakota American Legion (sdlegion.org)
South Dakota Youth Trooper Academy – June 20-24. Pierre, SD. The program is designed to expose young adults to the demands of Highway Patrol Recruit training and to develop better relationships between the youth of our state and the Highway Patrol. Application Deadline – March 20. SD Youth Trooper Academy – South Dakota American Legion (sdlegion.org)
Parent Teacher Conferences
February 17 from 1-9pm. Registration Information Meetings for Parents of students in grades 8-11 will also take place at 6, 7 and 8pm. If you would like more information about registering for HS classes next year, please plan to attend one of these 30-minute sessions.
FCCLA News
The FCCLA will be putting on fundraiser for a local person fighting breast cancer. This will take place at the annual Tea vs. Lennox Pink Out on February 11th. The Lennox pink out game will be held in Tea February 11th. T-shirt order forms are in the office. The cost per shirt will be $15 and order forms are due by Wednesday, January 19th, and will be available for pickup on February 8th.
Daily Attendance

Pre-ACT for Sophomores March 2nd. 12:45-4:00 PM COST: $12.00 (Cash or check payable to Lennox High School)
The Pre-ACT is the perfect way for sophomore students to prepare for the ACT. It gives a breakdown on scores, an interest inventory and practice for the real thing. Contact Mr. Breske to sign up. Deadline for registration is Thursday, February 17th.
