Our school celebrated reading this last week. Students had fun with special dress-up days and fourth graders read information about Dr. Seuss and his books over the intercom.



The Speech and Debate Team finished in 4th place as a team at State.
Noah Sayler placed 6th in original oratory.
McKenzie Ritenour was a quarterfinalist in Lincoln-Douglas Debate.
Gunnar Geiken placed 2nd in International Extemp and is the State Champion in LD debate.





Several LHS students attended Scrubs Camp at USD this week.





Last week was busy for band! The JH and HS jazz bands competed in the Augie Jazz Fest. The high school hosted the regional solo and ensemble contest, and also participated in the Brandon Honor Band. To finish off the week, they attended Middle School All-State Band.




Braylon Plucker went to the Junior High LDE event and placed 2nd in Creed Speaking. Great job Braylon!


The kindergarten students enjoyed reading the Cat in the Hat.


The National Speech & Debate Association recently announced Mr. Michael Larson as a winner of the Diamond Coach Award. Mr. Larson is recognized for his excellence and longevity in speech and debate education. Congratulations Mr. Larson!



Lt. Butler presented about careers in law enforcement.




Students in 5th grade math worked through various math problems on a program called Gimkit.


Ben, a fourth grader in Miss Muhs' classroom, chose to spend his classroom economy money helping Angela, our school secretary. Thank you, Ben!




Tonight, the Lady O's will take on the Sioux Falls Christian Chargers in Harrisburg at 7:00 PM in the SoDak 16. The winner will advance to the state tournament in Watertown March 9-11. Good Luck Lady O's!

This last weekend, the powerlifters were at the Yankton Powerlifting Meet.

Fourth grade students designed their own amusement park rides by experimenting with different size rubber bands.





Mr. Hinker and Mrs. Shade’s Life Skills Math class along with mentor, Conner Eich, visited the Yakkity Yak Coffee Shack, a business run by individuals with intellectual disabilities. Students were able to practice purchasing food items with their debit cards.


Lennox School District will start two hours late on Friday, February 24, 2023. Totally Kids will open at 8:00 AM.


Three exceptional seniors have been announced as our Champions of Character. Andrew Daugherty, Emily Plucker, and Austin Richter were selected as they understand the importance of responsibility and being a leader.


Due to the ongoing blizzard warning through noon tomorrow, Lennox School District will be closed on Thursday, February 23, 2023. Totally Kids will also be closed and all activities cancelled.
