This week the 4th graders learned about different computer vocabulary and explored the inside of a computer.





Lennox School District will be closed tomorrow, Friday, December 16, 2022. Totally Kids will be closed and all activities cancelled.


While road conditions are fair this morning, I am making the decision to close school today based on the weather forecast for continued snow and high wind throughout the day. Totally Kids will be closed and all activities and practices will be cancelled for the day.


South Dakota students and families can access a new, online tutoring program, staffed by college students who are preparing to become teachers. The Dakota Dreams Online Tutoring Program offers FREE online tutoring to K-12 students across the state.


The 6th grade had a visit from the Outdoor Campus. It was a wrap up from the book, Where the Red Fern Grows. The kids had the opportunity to see live traps, pelts from fur bearers in SD, a hunting dog and learned all about raccoons. Thanks for the great visit.

Kindergarten students at the Lennox Elementary enjoyed the fresh snow fall on Friday, December 9th.





Santa Night is tonight, December 12th at LWC Intermediate cafetorium from 4:00-7:00 PM. A free will donation meal will be sponsored by the Lennox Commercial Club.


Today, December 10th, the Lennox Band Boosters will be holding the 2022 Festival of Tables at the Lennox Intermediate School cafetorium. This is the band’s main fundraiser. Come enjoy live music by the HS Jazz Band and check out all the raffle prizes. Doors open at 10:00AM.


The fourth grade students are working on their South Dakota town research paper and they wrote a business letter to the town that they chose to do the research on. They are now getting information back from some of those towns.



Thank you to the Lennox American Legion, Post 174, for their continued support in providing U.S. and State flags for all the schools in the District. We greatly appreciate it!


Last night, our Lennox preschoolers had their vocal concert where they sang loud for family and friends. The kids were so excited and did a great job!





In November, Deputy Larsen and Sargeant Bartscher from the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office came and read to Mrs. Bartscher's kindergarten class and Mrs. Hinker's junior kindergarten class. Both classes enjoyed hearing the book Turkey Trouble.




Mr. Hinker and Mrs. Shade's life skills math class came to visit junior kindergarten. The classes played gingerbread double digit math bingo and made a gingerbread house. The students had fun as they have been reading books about the gingerbread man and the gingerbread girl.




Lennox High School National Honor Society students had a community service event with the residents of Tieszen Memorial Home.


In Mrs. Ruffin's computer class, the first graders are exploring programming! They programmed their mouse to go through a maze.




Miss Neeman’s fourth grade class helped Mrs. Strasser’s kindergartners make ‘Countdown to Christmas’ chains. The students had fun working together!
