Our Junior Kindergarten class had such a fun time visiting their amazing Business Buddy, Lewis Drug in Lennox, yesterday! 🩺💙
The students loved getting a behind-the-scenes look at the pharmacy counter and learning more about the important work they do every day. We are so thankful for all of the support, kindness, and encouragement they’ve given our class throughout the year.
A huge thank you to the Business Buddy program for creating these meaningful connections in our community! ✨

Students enjoyed learning about banking, meeting the friendly staff, and seeing how a local business operates. We are so thankful for community partnerships like this that help connect classroom learning to the real world.
A big thank you to everyone at Security Bank for welcoming our kindergarteners and making their visit so special! 🏦📚✨

Our 3rd grade students had a visit from mushers Ronnie and Kayla Bohlmann of RKB Sled Dogs! 🐕🦺💨 They taught us all about sled dog racing—how they get ready for races, how they take care of their dogs, and how they keep going even when things get tough. 💪
We also learned about different types of sled dogs! Alaskan Huskies are known for being fast and strong—they are specially bred for racing and teamwork. Siberian Huskies are famous for their thick, fluffy coats and bright eyes, which help keep them warm in very cold weather. ❄️🐶
The best part of the day was meeting some of their friendly, furry sled dogs up close! 🐶❤️
Thank you, Ronnie and Kayla, for visiting Lennox Elementary and giving our 3rd graders such an exciting and unforgettable experience! #SledDogs #LearningIsFun #MusherLife

To celebrate their hard work and teamwork, the class earned a special reward: lunch in the classroom! Students enjoyed eating together in a fun and relaxed setting, sharing laughs and celebrating their success.
We are so proud of their dedication to reading and the positive attitude they showed throughout the competition. Way to go, 2nd grade readers!
We were excited to welcome guest reader Beckie Mower to our elementary school! She shared her book, The Three Plastic Steps, with her granddaughter’s class as well as several other classrooms.
Our students loved hearing a story straight from the author and had a great time listening and participating!
Thank you, Beckie, for visiting and helping inspire our young readers!

Our students had a great time enjoying the snow hill today.

Mrs. Hinker and Mrs. Bartscher’s classrooms are lucky to have the BEST high school mentors! 🙌
A huge shoutout to Andie Peters, Macy Wallenstein, and Hadley Johnson for the time, energy, and positivity they bring to our classrooms each week. Our students absolutely love learning with them, and we loved celebrating them!
Now we’ll be cheering them on as they head to the State Basketball Tournament! 🏀👏

Oh, the fun we had during Read Across America Week! 📚🎉
Our junior kindergarten class celebrated with stories, smiles, and lots of silly Seuss-inspired fun! Throughout the week, we welcomed several special guest readers who helped bring books to life for our students. One of our special visitors was Sergeant Aaron Bartscher from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department — thank you for taking the time to read with our class! ❤️📖

Ten students were selected to participate in the SDMEA Elementary Festival Honor Choir in Dakota Valley today. Congratulations! Mr. Larsen and LWC are very proud of you all!

We’re proud to celebrate senior Emersen Lee for an outstanding achievement in Speech and Debate!
This past weekend, Emersen qualified for the National Speech and Debate Tournament in International Extemporaneous Speaking. Competing against top students from across the region, Emersen advanced through four rigorous rounds and earned the distinction of finishing as the 2nd national qualifier.
The national tournament will be held this summer in Richmond, Virginia, where Emersen will represent our school on the national stage.
