Students in 3rd and 4th grade had the opportunity to learn about design, construction, and operations of robots. Exploration in robotics will continue one time each month this semester.




School buses are moving traffic signals...know when to stop! Flashing amber/yellow warning lights indicate that the bus is preparing to stop. Red flashing lights and an extended stop arm indicates that a bus is stopped! Please keep our students safe and never drive through a stopped school bus with red flashing lights and an extended stop arm!

Mr. Ihler's third graders participated in a live wax museum today. Each student researched and wrote a report on a famous person from history. When someone visited them during the museum they would put some money in a container and the students would read their report. The money raised will be donated to a local charity. The students learned a lot and had so much fun!






The Lennox High School class of 2024 visited Worthing Elementary this morning for our annual Senior Walk. Our elementary students cheered them on and congratulated them on their hard work. Great job Lennox graduates!




Students at Worthing Elementary had the opportunity to travel to the Lennox High School for AgVenture Day! Students learned about animals, farm safety, and farm equipment. They also played some games and pet animals. They had a great time! Thank you Lennox Sundstrom FFA students!








Worthing Elementary 4th graders traveled to the LWC Intermediate School for a tour. Our tour guide was a former Worthing Elementary student, Griffin Hale! The students are excited to go to a new, bigger school next year.




Mrs. Smit's second graders learned about the history of the game Candy Land, then groups of students worked collaboratively to create a board game of their own. Students had a great time creating and playing the games.







Students at Worthing Elementary had a great week celebrating Read Across America! Students participated in special dress-up days, read Dr. Seuss books, played reading bingo at home, and had a special guest read to them. Deputy Sheriff, Anthony Zongo visited the school and read to kindergarten, first, and second graders.




Students at Worthing Elementary are participating in the Kids Heart Challenge through the American Heart Association. We're learning about taking care of our bodies and our minds. During the kick-off assembly students and staff jumped rope and checked their heart rate. Fourth-grade students were able to practice hands only CPR.





Mr. Ihler's third-grade class met reading and social studies standards while having a lot of fun bartering in their classroom.






Worthing PTT hosted a party at Skate City tonight in Sioux Falls. The students and their families had a great time!







The Aasheim family donated a pumpkin to each student in kindergarten-4th grade. The students were so excited to pick out their pumpkin! Thank you for your generous donation!



Worthing Elementary staff welcomed back students and their families at Open House tonight. Senior football players even joined us to give students autographed posters!




Worthing PTT hosted a pool party for students and their families. The kids had a great time swimming! Thank you, PTT!




Congratulations to our Kindergarten Graduates! On to 1st grade!

Look who came to visit 4th grade today! Randall's baby sister and younger brother- future Worthing Elementary students- came in to check out the class.
